Disability Never Put Out Dennis Walters' Golf Dream

Dennis Walters is a keen enthusiastic golfer, but was paralyzed from the waist down due to a spinal cord injury. Everyone told him that his golf dreams were shattered, but Walters refuse to surrender and pick up his golf equipment and started to practice hard despite what they said.
"When I started playing golf again, I never thought I could make a career out of it," he said. "That was almost 3,000 shows ago."
Walters and Brad Clayton, a right-arm amputee golf instructor in North Carolina, will appear today at the Sixth Annual State Farm Adaptive Golf Challenge at First Tee of Augusta.

Both of them will demonstrate their golf moves to fans and adaptive golf players of the Walton Foundation.
"We're just trying to show all our adaptive players what you can do," said Vicki Greene, the development coordinator for the Walton Foundation. "Your disability does not prohibit you from doing anything you want to do."
There are many adaptive players ages 15 to 70 from Georgia and South Carolina who learn and practise golf in Augusta every second Tuesday from March to November.
