Features:
White Ice Insert
The multi-layer insert has been fine-tuned to enhance sound, responsiveness, resiliency and consistency. The inner core is 19 percent firmer to enhance the feel and 92 percent stiffer for better resiliency, leading to consistent distance control. The face surface has been roughened to enhance the sound at impact with softer golf balls. The rough texture also helps increase friction between the ball and the insert to promote forward roll.
Headweight Optimization - In White Ice core models, Tour-tuned weight ports in the sole optimize the putter head with the shaft length to create the ideal balance that maximizes feel, control and accuracy. Headweight optimization uses 340 gram heads on 35" putters and 355 gram heads on 33" and 34" putters to precisely tune the performance and feel.
Dark Nickel Finish - Creates a rich premium look that reduces glare for the utmost in confidence

buying golf clubs/accessories?
I plan to buy a set of clubs (irons/driver/wedges/putter) and was wondering what would be reccomended before I get in the store and they just try selling me the most expensive stuff. I will get a new bag and any other “gadgets” that you find useful I would like to hear about. I like the Nike brand as well as Callaway, but I’m not limiting it to those. (10 points for best answer)
Getting a set of club all depending upon you ability to play. If you need to ask these questions, I bet you are high handicaper, who’ve playing less than two years. Low handicap players with long experiences have different problems; i.e. there are so many brands, types of clubs we wanna buy and it’s unreasonable or too costly to get them all. I have five set; thee Mizuno, one Nike, one Titleist with all sort of woods and more than five putters, still I linker on buying new clubs; like Mizuno MP 67. Just bought driver, 3 and 5 wood Nike Sumo.
The things about buying clubs is determine whether they suit you. Go to the pro shop, look around, measure your club head speed, talk to them about the club that fit your height and built, and certainly go to the club test day at the driving ranges.
My experience, the cost of golf clubs doesn’t really matter if they fit you and do the job well, as each of my iron and wood set seem to have last forever. I had a Mizuno MS 203 for 15 years until the grove worn out, and still I sold them for 1/3 of the price I bought. Amazing Ha.. Get any thing suit you and importantly you like. Have fun with the game.
Golfers – I need help with a gift…?
Boyfriend wants a Scotty Cameron putter (his birthday is in a few weeks), but I know nothing about golf or it’s accessories – only how to kick his butt on Golden Tee. I was on a website and noticed there is definitely more than one Cameron putter. A little help or advice here would be greatly appreciated!
Okay…what do you mean by jipped version? The knockoffs? Since posting this question, I’ve gone on the Scotty Cameron website and go a list of all dealers in my area so I guess I’ll be making the rounds when I actually have time outside of work and school.
And I’m all about the element of surprise. My ex’s family had this habit of ‘here’s money, go pick out your present(s), wrap them, put your name on it, and stick it under the tree’ – kinda takes the giver out of the equation and I don’t like that.
My new clubs.. any good?
My dad just baught me a golf set for christmas after going with him a few times. He baught me a whole set; all the irons are Callaway X-18 Pro-Series, with an Odyssey putter. It came with 3 drivers, 2 smal ones, and one larger Big-Bertha 464 titanium, 10degrees. These all came in a Callaway bag and all other accessories like a Nike glove etc. Are these clubs any good? Im 17 and only just starting out golf.. How much would that have cost my dad?
the reason why there are a few is because of the shaft angles. there are probably a few different shaft angles available (the most common is just a straight angle). shaft angle meaning how the shaft hits the putter’s head, if u want it straight on, or bent, or whatever. there also are probably a few offshoots of it, with “new technology” or whatever. As long as you aren’t getting the jipped version, i would say that they are all fine.
Excellent set of clubs and quite expensive, I know the Big Bertha alone is a few hundred dollars.
That was quite the expensive Christmas gift however, you’ll be able to use them for years to come.
Good luck in your game! It’s “tee-time”!
Does the Odyssey Sabertooth come with a head cover?
Strange question, I know, but after researching this putter on-line, I have yet to see any reference of a cover that would be included in the price. The Odyssey website shows various headcovers available as an accessory for additional purchase, but they are design headcovers. As an American in Germany, I live far from any retail golf store to just walk in and ask. I’ve tested this putter several times and want to order one from the states, but I would prefer not to pony up an additional $20 for a cover if it already has one.
Has anyone on here purchased this putter that might be able to tell me?
Rate my golf clubs, tell me what you think?
im 15 and am wondering what people think of my golf clubs. i have a taylormade itzy bitzy monza spider putter, taylormade z tp smoke wedges, taylormade tour burner irons, taylormade burner 5 hybrid, taylormade burner 3 hybrid, taylormade burner 3 fairway wood and a 2009 taylormade burner. Also the accessories that i have are a motocaddy s3 electric trolley. 2009 taylormade masters tour bag and a sureshot 8800 gps yardage reader. i also play with srixon zurs golf balls.
I purchased a 2-ball SRT a couple years ago and it came with a free headcover. I’d say email the online store and ask if it does or not…most of your expensive putters come with one (which I’ve since sold).
My Ping Craz-e and my Cameron both came with free headcovers.
