Improved Feel, More Forgiveness
Building upon the high technology design and resounding success of the original AP irons, Titleist introduces the new high performance AP1 irons for avid golfers. The Titleist AP1 are multi-material, dual cavity irons that take the design mission of "Advanced Performance You Can Feel" to new heights. The concept for the original Advanced Performance irons arose as a result of research that indicated serious golfers want performance with great feel, not performance at the expense of feel. The Titleist R&D team's advanced research group has been conducting extensive sound and vibration analysis aimed at reducing the harsh lower frequency vibration that causes poor feel in irons. This research led to combining several technologies and materials in the back cavity of the new AP irons resulting in a new Tuned Feel System to take feel to a new level. The new Tuned Feel System is a co-molded medallion of soft elastomer and aluminum plate. This insert has been specifically designed to improve the sound and feel of each new iron. For the thinner face, larger cavity AP1 a hotter, more lively feel has been enhanced. Extensive improvements to the new AP1 structure include reducing the face thickness to provide enhanced heel, toe, and deep weighting to the frame and moving the tungsten nickel material to the sole resulting in increased stability and forgiveness.

Improved Feel
The thin face with integrated aluminum and soft elastomer Tuned Feel System in the back cavity improves sound and feel at impact for a hotter, more lively feel. A high density tungsten nickel sole bar reduces low frequency vibration for a solid feel.
More Forgiving
Perimeter weighted back flange and tungsten nickel sole bar locates the CG low and deep for increased MOI, forgiveness, and stability.
Higher Ball Speed
Thin face, dual cavity design pushes weight to the perimeter for a hotter face and flight.

Can anyone recommend a genuine wholesale distributor for brand name golf equipment?
Looking to open a pro shop and I want to carry Callaway, Titleist, etc. products. I am looking for a supplier of these products and have not been able to locate one. I am not interested in carrying knock offs of brand name golf equipment.
I am not looking for a retail company like edwin watts or tgw. Other suggestions?
I love Titleist equipment. The look, feel, and performance for the better player is unmatched in golf. For serious golfers (to steal a line from a Titleist commercial): The question isn’t “Why do I play Titleist?”, it’s “Why would I play anything else?”
In my bag:
Driver: Titleist 905R, 9.5º, UST Proforce V2 66g stiff, tipped 1″
3 Wood: Cobra X Speed, 13º, Accra Dymatch S3-85 M4 (stiff)
2 Hybrid: Titleist 909H, 17º, Aldila VS Proto 80, stiff
3 Hybrid: Titleist 503H, 22º, Aldila VS Proto 80, stiff
Irons: Titleist ZB Forged, 4 iron to 9 iron, True Temper Dynamic Gold S400, 2º flat lie
Pitching Wedge: Titleist 2009 Vokey Design Spin Milled, 48º, 6º bounce, True Temper Dynamic Gold S400, tour chrome finish
Sand Wedge: Titleist 2009 Vokey Design Spin Milled, 54º, 11º bounce, True Temper Dynamic Gold S400, oil can finish
Lob Wedge: Titleist 2009 Vokey Design Spin Milled, 60º, 4º bounce, True Temper Dynamic Gold S400, oil can finish
Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2, 34″
I’m clearly a Titleist fan…but that Cobra X Speed 3 wood is worth it’s weight in gold on tight driving holes.
i do not know anyhting about golf
golf equipment for lefties
witch website has the best prices on new name brand equipment (titleist, Nike, callaway, etc.) for lefties.
How do I get good golf equipment for cheap?
Do name brand golf clubs work better? Is it a myth that they work better? Also which type of golf ball should I buy? For some reason I want to get the Titleist golf brand. I also noticed that the expensive name brand golf clubs seem not to be sold in golf club sets like an entire 14 clubs. At least it seems like that. Another thing I wanna do is figure out what type of exercise program I should do. Are there any specific golf related exercises that help work out the muscles that golf requires? Is there anything else I could do to improve my game? Anyway do you have any advice about finding a good practice range for driving, chipping, pitching, and putting? What should I look for and what would help my abilities more? Thank You
What is your preference in terms of golf equipment companies?
My personal preference is Titleist, I love their blades and the Vokey wedges cut really well through any turf. And everyone knows how good the ProV1 and ProV1x are. Mizuno makes great irons for every type of player and Bettinardi putters are pretty sick (but not as sick as Scotty Cameron), TaylorMade makes great drivers and the Penta TP is a good ball, Callaway makes solid cavity-back irons and great golf balls, PING makes all-around awesome clubs, the new Nike VR Tour Driver is solid, but they’re balls not so much. Cleveland makes good high-bounce wedges and their sister company Srixon makes a phenomenal ball. Bridgestone makes pretty good balls, and Cobra makes solid, but OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD drivers and pretty good irons. What’s your preference and what’s in your bag?
Here’s my bag:
Driver: Titleist 909D3, 9.5*, UST Proforce V2 76g Stiff
3 Wood: Titleist 909F3, 15*, UST Proforce V2 76g Stiff
2 Hybrid: Tour Edge XCG, 18*, UST Proforce V2 89g Stiff
3 Iron-Pitching Wedge: Titleist 2008 AP2, True Temper S300
Sand Wedge: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled, 54*, 11 degrees of bounce
Lob Wedge: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled, 60*, 7 degrees of bounce
X Wedge: Callaway X Forged C-Grind, 64*, 9 degrees of bounce (not in the bag full-time)
Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Select, Newport, 34 inches
I’m pretty biased but, hey, what can I say? They work!
Why does my golf ball die in midair? Ball flight and equipment question.
I was trying out new cavity back golf irons: titleist 775, mizuno mx25, r7, x20. The ball started out the same with all 4 models, but with the titleists and mx25s, the ball sort of gave out after reaching its peak height. With the r7s and x20s the ball resumed in its normal fashion. My question is: why did the ball sort of die with the first two irons? The titleists and mx25 are forged irons and made of different metals so maybe that has something to do with it. They also have less offset and slightly smaller heads. I don’t feel it is a swing question because the balls came off the face similarly with all 4 irons. I used graphite shafts in all 4 models. Thanks.
my guess it the titleist and mx25 were not imparting the same spin as the others. If the ball comes off the club with little or no spin, it’ll act like a knuckle ball, and die as soon as gravity takes over.
