Golf Stuff To Keep In Your Bag

By Ken Morris

If you are a beginning golfer, or have thought about learning how to play, buying the right equipment can help you become a better golfer. Equipment usually includes a set of golf clubs, a golf bag, tees, and golf balls. While you may be tempted to buy the best equipment, save some money and stress by purchasing a less expensive golf ball because chances are you will lose many of them while learning how to play golf. Once you become better at the game, you may want to experiment with different brands until you find one that is comfortable and suits your needs. Some people never switch from cheap golf balls to more expensive ones, while others claim a more expensive ball helps their game.

Golf balls are sold in groups of three of more depending on the brand. You can find golf balls at sporting goods stores, golf pro shops, department stores, online, and in used sports equipment stores. Golf balls come in a variety of colors ranging from traditional white to bright pinks, greens, yellows, and blues. If you have trouble finding your ball in the grass or are unable to distinguish it from others on the green, you may want to buy golf balls in different colors.

Buying a bag of golf balls when starting out is a good idea because you will lose many in the water, sand, and wooded areas on the course. As your game improves, you will notice that you can get through an entire game without losing a golf ball. When playing a good game of golf, you should be able to find your golf ball each time.

Storing golf balls does not require any fancy carrying cases or storage areas. Your golf bag should have a small pocket for golf ball storage that you can use. Always carry at least three golf balls with you when playing a round in case you lose one. Since golf balls are pretty durable, you don't have to worry about them warping or falling apart after being in your golf bag for a few months.

Plan on investing a few dollars in replacement golf balls when you are learning to play. While you don't have to purchase the most expensive balls in the store, you should buy balls that are the correct size and weight so you can learn how to play the game well. Golfing is a relaxing hobby that most people can learn quickly when the have the proper equipment.

I’m looking for a discount online golf equipment store, that ships to Canada?
Can anyone recommend somewhere online that I can get good deals on golf clubs and equipment? I would like somewhere that you have actually shopped and had a good experience. Also, they would need to be able to ship to Canada…Thank you!!

The first answerer already took my answer. I’ve personally dealt with GlobalGolf twice and both times the golf clubs condition and speed of service is excellent. They’re perfect for USED golf clubs. They keyword there is “used.” I go to them for used golf balls since they have one of the best selections on used, mint condition and even new bundle golf balls. When you sign up for their newsletters, they sometimes give you free shipping with no minimum purchase (twice in the past 4 months) Once during Augusta and the other on Fathers Day weekend.

For new golf clubs, on the other hand, the best deals I’ve found online is at http://www.rockbottomgolf.com and not only do they ship to U.S and Canada, they also ship internationally, so spread the word to your friends worldwide.

Note: I don’t endorse any of above two companies. Shop at your own risk. =P Good luck! Oh, let me know what you end up buying.

Bring your own clubs there pritty pricey over here. And there is heaps of really good sports shops anywhere you look were really into sports over here.
Golf over here is sort of a mixed bag lots of bogans or you would call hillbillys play golf its great fun and not many people take the sport serious they sort of walk around wacking balls and get drunk.
Go to a really good club and you wont get the bogans but it costs a flamen fortune. I had a round of golf and it cost me over $200.

Golf and sports equipment in Australia?
Our family is considering moving to Australia from the US. We are amateur golfers and would like to continue. Could someone from down under give us some tips on golf over there? Where would one buy a nice set of clubs or should we bring our own? In the states, there are many online golf equipment stores one can buy at very good prices. We can buy a nice Taylormade set for USD500. If we want to visit a store to look at clubs, we can go to Sports Authority or Golf Smith or some others. Are there large sporting goods stores in Australia? The kids also like fishing, basketball, tennis, badminton, so the sporting goods store is one of the first places we need to go when we get there. Would appreciate someone knowledgeable to give us some ideas.
